Cost

Puppies placed as companions are $3,500. 

My pricing reflects the care and investment that goes into thoughtfully raising each litter. This includes traveling across the country for IWC shows and performance events, investing in stud fees and traveling when the best match isn’t the most convenient one, extensive health screening including advanced OFA cardiac echocardiograms, OFA eye exams, BAER testing, and brucellosis testing for our breeding dogs, and genetic panels and OFA BAER testing for every puppy. I also prioritize diverse quality whole-food nutrition, puppy development training and socialization, and ongoing education for myself and my dogs. 

My goal is to invest thoughtfully in both the health of the dogs I breed and the early experiences that help each puppy become a confident, well-adjusted companion.

Below is what is included with every puppy:

• Microchipped with FiNano 

• DNA & Health panel through Embark 

• BAER (hearing tested) to screen for congenital deafness

• Raised with early socialization, enrichment, and foundational training following the Puppy Culture program and their additional in depth courses: including the Puppy Culture original film, Newborn to New Home, and the Weaning for Life courses.

• Puppy training foundations and introductions to crate training, loose leash walking, potty training, recall, manding, anti-resource guarding protocols, and more. 

• Your own course of Puppy Culture's: With Open Arms and a Level Head, which all puppy families will work through together before go-home, with group discussions and conversations during our litter Zoom calls.

• Age-appropriate veterinary care and vaccines

• Puppy evaluations and temperament matching

•  Puppy go-home bag 

• Registration with the International Windsprite Club

• Ongoing, lifetime support from me as your breeder and certified professional trainer

Guardian/Co-ownership Opportunities
Because Windsprites are a rare and developing breed with a limited gene pool, I have a strong commitment to thoughtfully contributing to the breed's future. I prioritize placing several puppies from each litter into homes open to contributing to the future of the breed. This is typically by keeping the dog intact for potential breeding under a contractual agreement. These collaborative partnerships play a vital role in preserving genetic diversity and supporting the long-term health and population of the Windsprite breed while ensuring each dog thrives in a loving home with plenty of individualized attention.

For approved co-owns the cost is reduced to reflect the investment you are making into my program and the breed's future:

• Males – $3,000

• Females – $2,000

What's Involved?

For Male Puppies (Stud Prospects):
If you are a guardian home for a male with future breeding potential, I’ll cover the cost of his health testing and he lives with you full time. He does not need to leave your care and you do not need to live near me. I ask that you:

• Keep him intact.

• Bring him to scheduled health testing appointments.

• Be open to live cover and/or collection if he is selected for breeding.

• Maintain open, timely communication and a collaborative mindset throughout the partnership.

• Maintain his health, training, and socialization so he can be a strong ambassador of the breed.

I may request him for stud use up to 1–3 times depending on health and temperament, always in collaboration with you and, when applicable, other breeders. He remains with you full-time, and any collection or breeding is by mutual agreement. In most cases, breeding females travel to the male. 

For Female Puppies:
If you are guardian home for a female who may be considered for a future litter, I’ll cover all expenses related to her health testing, breeding, and whelping. I ask that you:

• Bring her to health testing appointments.

• Live within approximately 3 hours of Huntsville, Alabama, so she can visit occasionally and remain comfortable in my home environment. This helps ensure a smooth, low-stress transition when it’s time for whelping (boarding in my home is also free for her lifetime).  Those more than 3 hours away may be considered on a case by case basis.

• Maintain open, timely communication and a collaborative mindset throughout the partnership.

• Maintain her health, training, and socialization so she can be a strong ambassador of the breed.

• Be comfortable with her returning to me for one well-planned litter, assuming she passes all health and temperament evaluations. You're welcome (and encouraged!) to visit and stay involved throughout the experience.

A successful co-ownership depends on trust, transparency, and shared values. Above all, her wellbeing remains the top priority, and any breeding-related responsibilities will be clearly communicated and approached with care.
